Nouveau and aged Beaujolais wines over-flowed to wash down cheese and charcuterie in wide variety that were partaken by guests of the annual Soirée Beaujolais organized by the French Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines-Le Club last Thursday, 18 November 2010, at the Fiesta Pavilion of Manila Hotel.

Also flown in from France was a group of artists from Brittany, from the lace and embroidery town of Pont l’Abbé “Pays Bigouden” to take center stage and show this year’s featured region’s culture and tradition through music and dance.

Together with members of the International and French communities, Metro personalities and celebrities indulged in French dishes and authentic Breton galettes and crepes while some P850 thousand worth of prizes were raffled off, including fabulous jewelries and two round-trip business class Manila-Paris tickets from Etihad Airways.
