Who are the French Foreign Trade Advisors?

Businessmen and women, chosen for their skills in international trade,  the French Foreign Trade Advisors are nominated for a term of 3 years by decree of the Prime Minister, upon the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Trade.  Abroad, the Head of the Economic Department of The French Embassy takes charge of candidatures.  During their term of office, French Foreign Trade Advisors residing abroad are under the authority  of ambassadors.

For 112 years French Foreign Trade Advisors have been benevolently putting their experience at the service of France’s economic presence in the world  by giving advice to French authorities

-          by transmitting their expertise to enterprises, especially SMEs, which they closely follow in the latter’s international development

-          by helping young Frenchmen become aware of careers in the realm of international trade.

The Philippine section meets ten times a year.  During these meetings, members of the section make presentations on situations concerning their respective economic sectors.  The Head of the Economic Department of the French Embassy participates in these meetings providing them valuable information about the economic situation of the country.
