Le Club was an informal non-profit association founded in 1988. In 2005, members voted for its transformation into Le Club FCC, the French Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines whose objectives are :
- The promotion of French interests in the Philippines
- The promotion of the Philippines in France
Members of Le Club FCC are composed of :
-French or French-speaking executives representing French interests in the Philippines
- Businessmen whose professional activities are of interest to Le Club FCC.
Le Club FCC organizes social, cultural and economic activities.
Social and cultural:
- Monthly business-themed luncheons
- Monthly networking cocktails « Les Jeudis du Club »
- Yearly publication of a directory
- Monthly e-newsletter « Clubinfo »
- A major annual French event in Manila : La Soirée Beaujolais
- Sports tournaments
- Events that will strengthen Franco-Philippine relations
Economic :
- Participation in trade faires with a Pavilion which groups together SMEs from France. Agrilink, Afex, PowerTrends and Inahgen are trade fairs it has joined.
- Organization of commercial missions in the Philippines for French companies.
- Market studies
- « Domiciliation » of French companies
- Employment service for young Frenchmen/women in search of work
opportunities in the Philippines
Le Club FCC is steered by an Executive Committee elected for a two-year term of office. Its members work on a voluntary basis. A Managing Director and an Administrator are in charge of the affairs of the chamber and are accountable to the Executive Committee, as well as to the Union of French Chambers of Commerce & Industry Abroad (UCCIFE) in Paris. Le Club FCC reinforced its work team early in 2010 (see organizational chart). Young Frenchmen/women who spend 5 to 6 months of on-the-job training at the chamber complete this team.
